What Treatments are Available at Omniya for Sexual Dysfunction?

What is Sexual Dysfunction?

Many women develop a low libido during menopause. This is as a result of losing oestrogen and progesterone. Testosterone too is depleted with age. The latter is related to sex drive and libido, while low oestrogen levels can thin the wall of the womb, resulting in painful intercourse. The answer for many women can be hormone replacement therapy (HRT). This comes in two different types – oestrogen-only and oestrogen plus progesterone. Hormone tests can determine which is the most suitable for an individual.

Men too can suffer from a low libido, as well as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, delayed ejaculation and pain through intercourse.

Erectile dysfunction is a common issue and can often be as a result of low testosterone levels. But it can also be related to certain illnesses such as diabetes and pelvic cancers, as well as misuse of drugs and alcohol. The side effects of certain medications can also result in erectile dysfunction.

When low testosterone levels are deemed to be the culprit this can often be remedied by taking testosterone replacement therapy (TRT).
