What Treatments are Available at Omniya for Urinary Incontinence?

There are various treatment options for urinary incontinence today, from pelvic floor exercises to reducing caffeine intake HRT and non-invasive surgery. Some of the more maintenance-free options include Vaginal Rejuvenation Therapy (VRT) and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). The reason for the latter is because a lack of oestrogen and diminishing elastin can result in a thinning of the vagina walls. Therefore, supplementing lost oestrogen can make a major improvement to the condition. In the case of VRT, a laser helps to physically tighten the vaginal walls by stimulating collagen growth. This can have a long-lasting effect – of up to two years in the majority of cases.

What are the Causes of Urinary Incontinence?

Urinary incontinence can be brought on by sneezing, coughing and exercise. It can also be the result of hearing running water (which brings on an urgent need to pee). Small amounts of leakage, meanwhile, is usually the result of nerve damage. And it is not just women who suffer, men can also be prone to the condition – particularly following prostrate cancer surgery.
